Telegram Ads for agencies: the check happens before the ad account, not after a rejection

ADS Beast runs Telegram Ads as an ordinary advertising channel: the category is worked out against the platform policy before submission, the text is kept within 160 characters, the name within 128 bytes, the link is sorted into a channel, a bot or a website, and the channel is verified with a real request. Spend and subscriptions sit in the same dashboard as Google and Meta.

14 days on any plan, no card needed to start. After the click: a three-field form and the workspace.

What gets connected

Connection
No keys from us are needed: you sign in to the ad account with your own Telegram account. The system only stores what is being advertised
What is read
The channel and its subscriber count through the Bot API; spend, views, clicks and actions once the statistics are entered
What is applied
The policy check, the ad build and the operator task. A person pastes it into the ad account
What we advertise
A channel, a single post, a bot or an external website - the platform accepts all of these
Limits
Text 160 characters, name 128 bytes; a link inside the text itself may only be @username or t.me
Money
The account opens in one of 3 currencies - euros, Toncoin or Telegram Stars - and it cannot be changed later

For an account with a connected API token the system syncs statistics, pauses ads and changes the daily limit through the platform. For an account without a token it prepares the ad and creates an operator task - and we say which of the two modes is on rather than averaging them.

01What it does

What the system does in the Telegram Ads channel

01

The check happens before anyone opens the ad account

A reviewer does not send the rejection reason into your interface: the ad is simply turned down, and resubmitting costs time and spent budget. So the category, the limits and the link format are worked out before the operator opens the account. Every reason is shown at once rather than one at a time, otherwise the text gets rewritten three times over.

  • The platform's 12 prohibited categories: gambling, weapons, harmful financial products, uncertified medical services and the rest
  • A 160-character counter for the text and a hint on how much to cut
  • Link analysis: a shortener and an IP address are rejected, a private invite is flagged
02

The name is counted in bytes, and that is where people trip

An ad has two fields: the text the audience sees, and an internal name visible only inside the ad account. The name limit is 128 bytes, not characters. Cyrillic takes two bytes per letter and emoji up to four, so a Russian name runs out twice as fast as a Latin one. The system counts bytes and warns in advance.

  • A byte counter next to the name field
  • A refusal before submission when the name does not fit
  • A note that the limit is spent differently across languages
03

A channel, a bot or a website - and a different set of fields

The platform accepts both an internal address and an external website. The difference is the set of fields: a website needs a name and a button type, while a link inside the text itself must still lead to @username or t.me. These two rules get mixed up, and the ad comes back from review.

  • The website name is required when the target is external
  • The button type is checked against the platform's list
  • A refusal when the link in the text and the address field lead to different places
04

The channel is checked for real

Telegram's Bot API is documented publicly, so whether a channel exists, whether it is public and how many subscribers it has are checked with a real request rather than a guess. The 1000-subscriber threshold applies to the channel that hosts ads, not to the one being promoted: a small channel can be advertised, but it cannot host ads yet. When the check cannot be made, the system says "not checked" instead of "all clear".

  • Channel title, type and subscriber count
  • Whether the channel qualifies as a placement
  • A clear difference between "checked and unsuitable" and "could not be checked"
05

A ready ad and a task for the operator

The system does not pretend it published anything, and it does not leave the operator with "make a Telegram ad" either. The task holds the checked name, text, link, bid and budget along with the ad account address, so there is nothing left to work out. An ad that failed the check creates no task at all: taking it to review is pointless.

  • Paste-ready fields with a copy button
  • Budget and bid in the account currency, plus an impressions estimate
  • The task in the shared approvals list alongside the other channels
06

Statistics in the shared dashboard

Campaigns and channel figures go into the same tables as every other platform. That is why analytics, alerts, automation rules and client reports see Telegram without any extra work. An action after an impression - a subscription or a bot start - counts as a conversion; return stays empty, because it is not a purchase and a zero would read as zero return.

  • The channel's spend row next to Google, Meta and the rest
  • Views, clicks, actions and cost per action
  • Spend in the account currency; dollars only when the rate is known
02How it works

From the client's channel to the first impression

The sequence is short but it does not get shortened: check the channel, check the ad, hand the operator the finished fields, enter the statistics.

  1. 01

    Connect the client's target

You state what is being advertised: a channel, a bot or a website address. No keys from us are needed.

  2. 02

    Build and check the ad

Text within 160 characters, a name within 128 bytes, a bid in the account currency. The system shows the verdict and every reason for rejection at once.

  3. 03

    Hand it to the operator

A task with the finished fields and the ad account address. A person does the pasting and the payment.

  4. 04

    Enter the statistics

Figures from the ad account land in the shared dashboard, and from there alerts, rules and client reports take over.

03How it fits together

Where the data comes from and what you get out of it.

Ad accounts hand over their statistics through your own OAuth apps. The system puts them into one picture, agents look for what to change, and only what you approve gets changed.

05What it does not do

What the system does not do in the Telegram Ads channel

  • It does not publish ads for an account without a connected token: there it takes them as far as checked fields and hands them to an operator.
  • It does not top up the account balance or pick placement channels, topics and languages - a person does that.
  • It does not create an operator task for an ad that failed the policy check.
  • It does not invent a minimum bid: on this platform it depends on the currency and the ad parameters, and the real floor is stated by the platform itself.
  • It does not pass an unknown account-currency rate off as zero spend in dollars.
06Questions and answers

Questions and answers

Why does the system not publish campaigns itself?

It does, when the account has a token from its own settings (Settings → Ads API). The token is verified with a live request before it is stored, and the ad is always created paused: the decision to spend money stays with a person. Without a token an operator pastes the ad, with fields that have already passed the policy check.

Can an ordinary website be advertised?

Yes. The platform accepts a channel, a single post, a bot and an external website. A website additionally takes its name and a button type. A separate rule covers the link inside the ad text: only @username and t.me are allowed there.

What is the 1000-subscriber threshold?

It applies to the channel that shows the ads, not to the one you are promoting. A small channel can be advertised, but it cannot carry other people's ads yet.

Which currency is spend counted in?

In the account currency: euros, Toncoin or Telegram Stars, chosen when the account is created and impossible to change afterwards. Spend enters the dollar total only when a rate is set; without a rate the value stays unknown rather than zero, otherwise the client summary would understate the figure.

Which categories will not pass?

Gambling, explicit content, drugs along with alcohol and tobacco, weapons, harmful financial products, uncertified medical services, politics, spam and hacking, misleading advertising, goods of questionable legality. Cryptocurrency and finance pass with a manual review: signals and return promises will not.

Can the channel be handled from the assistant?

Yes. The assistant shows the state of the channel, checks the ad against the policy, verifies the channel through the Bot API and assembles the finished fields. For an account without a token it creates an operator task; it cannot switch a campaign on - that is a separate human decision.
