# Google Ads for agencies: every client account in one summary

ADS Beast connects Google Ads accounts over OAuth, pulls spend and conversions every 15 minutes and puts them on the same line as Meta, TikTok, LinkedIn and Microsoft. Audits run on a schedule. A change to a budget, a bid or a campaign status goes into the approval queue and is applied only once a person has confirmed it.

## What gets connected

- **Connection**: OAuth: sign in with an account that has access to the ad account; access is revoked on the Google side
- **What is read**: Campaigns, ad groups, keywords, ads, spend and conversions: 90 days first, then every 15 minutes
- **What is applied**: Campaign status, budget and bid - after confirmation in the approval queue
- **Campaign types**: 7 in the launch registry: Search, Performance Max, Display, Video, Shopping, Demand Gen, App
- **Alongside**: Merchant Center and GA4 connect as separate steps
- **Safe by default**: Search Partners and Display targeting expansion are off in new campaigns

Google passwords never reach the system. All it stores is an OAuth token, and you can see its lifetime and scope in the Connection health section.

## What the system does with a Google Ads account

### Spend and results on the same line as every other platform

Spend is converted to one currency at the rate for the day it was spent and shown over the same date window as the client's other platforms. Our own figures are checked against what the ad account itself reports: a gap goes into the report rather than out of sight.

- Spend by campaign and ad group, in the account currency and in dollars
- A check against the native account that names the size of the gap
- History for 90 days as soon as the account is connected

### The account is audited on a schedule

Delivery is checked every 2 hours, and a full audit runs every 24 hours. Every finding names the campaign or keyword, the reason, and how much data it rests on. A conclusion drawn from three clicks is not passed off as a pattern.

- Findings that name the campaign, the reason and the amount of data
- Policy rejections with the wording from the platform and a way to fix them
- Keywords resubmitted where the platform allows an exemption

### Nothing changes without an approval

A recommendation becomes an action, the action waits for confirmation, and only then does it reach Google Ads. After it is applied, the system re-reads the campaign and checks that the change actually stuck. Automation can propose. It cannot spend.

- An approval queue with the reason and expected effect behind each action
- Confirmation by reading back from the ad account after the change
- A log of who confirmed what and when

### Leads and conversions go back into the account

Leads from the site and from platform forms land in the CRM with the click identifier attached. When a manager marks a deal, the system uploads offline conversions back to Google Ads every 30 minutes, so bidding learns from real sales instead of button presses.

- A lead in the CRM with the gclid and UTM tags
- Offline conversions in Google Ads built from deal stages
- A check that the conversion tag is installed on the site and receiving events

### Product feed and analytics next door

Merchant Center connects as a separate step, and for retail clients the system shows whether the feed is ready for Shopping and Performance Max. GA4 connects the same way and puts post-click behaviour next to spend.

- Product feed readiness and the errors in it
- GA4 figures in the same summary as spend

## From connecting the account to the first approval

Four steps, and on the last one a person decides. None of this needs passwords or a report exported by hand.

1. **Connect the account** - In the Ad accounts section an administrator picks the client and goes through OAuth. It takes as long as signing in to Google takes.
2. **Wait for the history** - The system pulls 90 days of data and then refreshes it every 15 minutes.
3. **Read the summary and the audit** - Spend in one currency, the check against the account, audit findings with reasons - on the same screens as the client's other platforms.
4. **Confirm changes** - Anything that moves money waits in the approval queue. Confirm it and it is applied, then read back from the account.

## Figures from the code

- 15 min - between metric refreshes
- 90 days - of history pulled on connection
- 7 - campaign types in the launch registry
- 2 h - between delivery checks

## What the system will not do with your Google Ads

- It will not change budgets, bids or statuses without a person confirming, however obvious the recommendation looks.
- It will not store passwords or sign in to the account for you: only an OAuth token, revoked in your Google account settings.
- It will not promise results or draw forecasts that the account data does not support.
- It will not turn on Search Partners or Display targeting expansion without an explicit decision from an operator, and that decision is logged.

## Questions and answers

### What do I need in order to connect a Google Ads account?

A Google account with access to the client ad account. An agency administrator picks the client, clicks Connect and goes through the normal Google sign-in and consent screen. No keys or passwords reach the system.

### What happens when access expires or is revoked?

Connection health shows the account as dead, the system raises an alert and asks you to reconnect. Data for past periods stays where it is; nothing new is pulled until the account is reconnected.

### How exactly are campaign changes applied?

A recommendation turns into an action in the approval queue, carrying its reason and expected effect. After confirmation the system applies it through the API and re-reads the campaign to be sure the change actually stuck.

### Which currency is spend shown in?

In the account currency and in dollars at the rate for the day of the spend. Amounts in different currencies are never added into a total at a guessed rate: every line keeps its original amount and the rate used.

### What about ads and keywords that failed review?

They collect in the Platform rejections section with the reason as the platform worded it. For keywords where Google allows an exemption request, the system files it and retries.

## Connect one Google Ads account and read the summary 15 minutes later

The first 14 days are free on any plan and you do not need a card to start. Spend, the check against the account and the audit will be there before you finish exporting your first report by hand.
