# Today: what is happening right now and what needs a decision

The screen an agency day starts on. Spend for every client and platform over one date window and in one currency, refreshed no longer than 15 minutes ago. Beside it: the alerts nobody has handled yet, and the actions waiting to be confirmed. Not one figure that is missing from the ad accounts.

## What is on the screen

- **Spend**: For each client and platform, in the account currency and in dollars at the rate for the day
- **Date window**: One across every platform: today, yesterday, a week, a month or a range of your own
- **Freshness**: The last refresh time for each platform; the step is 15 minutes
- **Alerts**: Delivery stalls, no leads, budget overruns - with the platform, the account and the period
- **Approvals**: How many actions are waiting and which of them move money
- **Reconciliation**: The gap between our figures and the native account, where there is one

Spend in different currencies is never added into a total at a guessed rate: every line keeps its original amount and the rate for that day. Lines with no rate are marked rather than buried in the total.

## What the summary does

### Five tabs, five currencies, five date windows, one line

A Monday without the system means Google in hryvnia, Meta in dollars, TikTok in euro and three different date windows added up by hand in a spreadsheet. The summary shows the same thing on one line: one window, one currency, the rate for the day of the spend.

- A total for the agency and for each client over one date window
- Expand down to platform, campaign and ad group
- The original currency and rate next to every amount

### Data freshness is shown, not assumed

Every platform carries a mark for when its figures were last refreshed. If a sync has fallen behind, you see it before anyone makes a decision on stale numbers.

- The last refresh time for each platform
- A behind mark when the delay runs past the sync step
- History for 90 days from the moment an account is connected

### What is on fire and what is waiting, on the same screen

Alerts name the platform, the account, the period and the amount in dollars instead of saying "something went wrong". Actions that automation has proposed wait for confirmation right here, and you can see which of them move money.

- Unhandled alerts with their context
- The approval queue with the number of actions that move money
- A jump straight into the section where the problem gets solved

### A check against the ad account, not faith in our own figures

Our spend is checked against what the ad account itself reports. The gap goes on screen with its size and its platform. This holds for every platform, not only the convenient ones.

- The gap in spend and conversions against the native account
- The reason for the gap when it is known: platform delay, exchange rate, attribution window

## How the summary fills up

The summary asks nothing of an operator: once the accounts are connected, it counts. The operator only decides.

1. **Accounts are connected** - Each platform connects over OAuth or by account key in the Ad accounts section.
2. **Data arrives** - A sync every 15 minutes, and 90 days of history on connection.
3. **Spend is converted to one currency** - At the rate for the day of the spend, with rates refreshed every 12 hours and the original amount kept.
4. **The screen assembles** - Total, freshness, alerts, approvals and reconciliation in one place, for the whole organisation or for a single client.

## Figures from the code

- 15 min - between metric refreshes
- 90 days - of history pulled on connection
- 8 - channels on one spend line
- 12 h - between exchange rate updates

## What the summary does not do

- It shows no figure that is missing from the ad accounts: no forecasts, no approximations, no round numbers for effect.
- It does not add amounts in an unknown currency into the total - those lines are marked separately.
- It changes nothing in campaigns: this is a reading screen, and every action goes through approvals.
- It does not hide a gap against the account to keep the total tidy.

## Questions and answers

### How fresh are the figures in the summary?

The sync step is 15 minutes for platforms connected over OAuth. The last refresh time is shown for each platform, and a platform that has fallen behind is marked as such.

### Which currency is the total in?

In dollars, at the rate for the day of the spend. The original currency and rate are kept for every line, so the total can be checked. Lines with no rate stay out of the total and are marked.

### Can I read the summary for one client?

Yes. The summary works for the whole organisation and for a chosen client, with the same date window, freshness, alerts and approvals.

### What do I do when the figures do not match the ad account?

The summary shows the gap and, where it is known, the reason: a platform reporting delay, an attribution window, an exchange rate. If the reason is unknown, the gap stays on screen until somebody works it out.

## Connect one account and see the summary 15 minutes later

The first 14 days are free on any plan and you do not need a card to start. The summary appears with the first sync, and the rest connects as you need it.
